"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"Only one key to the whole building, got woken up at 11pm because another guest was locked outside and was banging on the door. Asked for fresh towels and never got a response from the owner. Kitchen had a bad smell coming from the fridges and the tv in my room was broken."

"After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? "Extremely difficult and confusing to check in and out. Lots of different codes for doors, and very confusing regarding key safe. Little to no mention about the actual details regarding sharing a flat, other guests were extremely noisy, particularly very early in the morning Property, not in the best of conditions, with bathroom doors, not locking, which is extremely disconcerting for a shared flat. The facilities were not good, poor lighting, the whole place needed a lot of renovation...

"My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life."

I arrived late around 2300, not able to find the property, call them and call answer straight away. Clean nice room. Very high standard for a guest house. "We enjoyed staying in the property. We had a car and can visit all the Lake District attractions from the location. The view of the hotel was superb and manage to take some nice snaps. English Breakfast was included and the hospitality was superb. I faced flush issue with the toilet but the hotel has resolved the issue within quick turnaround time. Very impressed with the quick resolving of this issue. The room service was also good with general toiletries, room cleaning and towels changed on a daily basis. I would like to extend my thanks to the hotel management for making our holiday memorable. Regards Konark"
