"Cannot recommend enough. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The whole place was spotless. The attention to detail was amazing from slippers and dressing gowns in the wardrobe to the cool down mat for straighteners (great for the ladies). Had the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. "

"Brunswick House is a beautiful B&B which is the perfect mix of homely and modern. It has absolutely everything you might need, including an amazing breakfast selection all cooked fresh! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a parking space (it is a tight alley to get to the car park just be aware!)"

"Stayed here while walking the Coast to Coast. Small independent hostel with cafe. We had a 2 person bunk bedded room. Clean bedding. Towels available to hire. Self catering facilities. Arrived after the cafe closing time but instructions were left on the door and we soon had a welcoming phone call. Access to cafe with Wi-fi and TV and honesty box cakes in evening. Excellent breakfast prepared to order. We’re lucky to have the accommodation to ourselves. Would imagine it might be a bit noisy with...

"If you like old buildings, well maintained and fitted with a smart hotel stylish bathroom, excellent view over the dale, this is the one. It is in the hamlet of Newbiggin on a quiet road amongst other attractive cottages. Loads of space for 2, 4 would be fine but I think 6 adults would rather cosy in the lounge and with just one loo & bathroom, albeit a very smart one."
