"We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at The Anchorage to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. There was a thoughtful birthday card and chocolates waiting for us in our room, which was such a lovely personal touch. We booked the Christmas in July set menu for dinner and, honestly, it was incredible. Every single dish was delicious, generous in size, and full of beautiful Christmas flavours. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The hospitality from every staff member was exceptional. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We were especially touched by how kind and engaging they were with our children—it made our family feel so welcome throughout our stay. We also loved the afternoon mulled wine and cheese, which was the perfect cosy addition to the Christmas in July experience. Thank you to the entire team for making my husband’s birthday so special. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to come back in summer to experience The Anchorage in a completely different season. Highly recommend!"

"The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making for a very pleasant stay. The property's convenient location, just a short walk from shops and a great selection of dining options, was a real bonus. Breakfast at Little Nell, the restaurant attached to the hotel, was also very enjoyable, with a tasty selection to start the day. What truly stood out, however, was the staff—everyone was genuinely warm, welcoming, and always happy to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again."

"Very welcoming friendly staff member on arrival, check-in was a breeze. The room was very clean tidy and quiet. We were right beside the airport and didn’t hear a thing. It was very peaceful and quiet. We had a problem with not being able to work the TV, we contacted reception. The staff member came up immediately and fixed it for us a straightaway. The bathroom was very clean, tidy and spacious. Check out was simple and easy. There was Parking on site. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel."
