Enjoy a genuine Japanese experience!
"This part of our Japanese trip was terrific in all its aspects. We had a bit of drive, and a late lunch was the first thing on the agenda. We were directed to several nearby restaurants to choose where to go. Our luggage was secured.
When we returned and checked in, the customer service was exceptional. We were shown all the facilities, and the owner demonstrated how to use them. I was surprised we had to nominate our mealtimes, but I later understood why.
We pre-booked dinner, and it was superb. It included hot and cold dishes and was very filling. The quality of the meal was second to none. After dinner, we enjoyed an onsen that was included in our accommodation. I loved it - the privacy and the experience.
The bedding on the floor which for someone who was cramping badly overnight - it proved difficult for me to escape the pain. However, that was a distraction rather than any fault with the facility in the scheme of things.
Breakfast was equally good.
Overall, this was a fabulous stay, and the hosts were typical of the Japanese, very polite and accommodating. When the next day, we visited many of the sites in Beppu, and we were grateful that we took the opportunity to visit the town and this hotel. "
