"Cosy traditional b&b room above the pub itself, surprisingly quiet (never heard a sound) even though the pub below is a very popular place and full every night. Nice breakfast, good evening meal, can’t fault the place. Patrick and the locals were very friendly, we happily chatted amongst them all evening on both nights we stayed. Situated just off the high street with secure on site parking, and within walking distance of various eating establishments. "I wasn't provided with check in instructions, so when I arrived I felt a bit lost. I asked inside Greggs and Subway, they informed me that I had to go to the petrol station to collect my room key, it was smooth from there. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom needed a little TLC, cracks on the bath, ceiling, marks on the floor. Had free WiFi, TV, and tea / coffee facilities. Bed was comfy and clean. Good value for money. Would stay again as very convenient for short trip"

Graham and Annie (our hosts) were able to offer us any check time after 09.00. We actually arrived about 16.00 to be checked in immediately and shown to our room. The first night was a bit of a problem as the room overlooked the main road with a farm entrance across the road. The building is very old with thick stone walls and we needed the window open which was noisy with traffic throughout the night. On speaking to Graham the following morning, he was most apologetic and changed our room to...

A two night stay to attend niece's wedding, excellent location with a plentiful public car park opposite. Our room was clean and tidy, well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. A very nice friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Quality of breakfast was first class and very tasty with a good range to suit all tastes. Would stay again and would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area. Village had good amenities.

We received a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival and were looked after extremely well for all of our stay. The hotel is spotless throughout and is run by a family who want their visitors to enjoy their stay. Food is excellent and is cooked to order. Delicious! Only slight downside is that as this is a small hotel, there are no lifts thus it is not really suitable for those with mobility issues as all rooms are 'upstairs'. For all other visitors, you will enjoy your visit.
