But it’s the case that English is not spoken almost anywhere in Shikoku. Apart from the language issue, my stay at the hotel was quite pleasant, the hotel location proved to be excellent for day trips on the island and my room was very comfortable. "

"This hotel is dated and has definitely seen better days. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke :(. However, it was low cost and everything worked. The guy in reception was welcoming and friendly- made a particular effort to explain things, show me the free drinks in reception and hand me a tourist map. Location is walkable from centre (flat walk), but slightly further than ideal. Many dining options easily reached, but don’t expect much English spoken (have a translation app handy)."
