The staff could not do enough for you. They were all so friendly & welcoming. They went out of their way to sort a parking space for me, enabling me to leave my car from the Saturday to the Monday whilst I didn’t need it. The food is superb. The price for bed & breakfast was great value. Breakfast choice & quality was again fantastic. Obviously a very popular place & understandably so.

Great place to stay, rooms are comfortable if a little dated but good nether the less. Staff are friendly and warm, great menu and the portion sizes are epic! Food coma bother nights I stayed

This was a last minute booking which made our weekend. The room was lovely, the restaurant food and service was exceptional. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back again.

Lovely old building , really pleasant staff , clean & comfortable room . Super tasty food with huge ' Norfolk 'portions ! Certainly want togo again .

Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner - staff fabulous - a credit to the hotel. Our room bathroom needs updating with new toilet seat and just an upgrade in general. Bed was quite small - not sure it was a queen bed but comfortable enough. Just needs a few things upgraded to make it fabulous as both food and staff were lovely so felt the room let the overall score down.

An historic inn
This is definitely an old hotel, but a very interesting one when you read its history. The carpets were a little grubby, but it was kept clean. The beds were made daily and the towels replaced. The tea/coffee etc in the room replenished every day. If you are a big eater, then this is the place to go. The food was very good, but too much for me. Its a lovely little village and we went on a train ride to Wroxham. Well worth a stay and a visit.

Great family stay for Sherringham
Amazing breakfast and wonderful evening meal. Stayed in room 105 which had a double room and a separate twin room and a bathroom off the twin. Good nights sleep. Staff service was excellent would definitely recommend

A good place to stay in a historic inn
As a historic inn it has a charm with sloping floors and lots of stairs. However the rooms are a reasonable size, the bathroom is clean and bright with a good mains shower. The bed was very comfortable so all in all a good stay. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. Bar very busy at night but in room 103 on the top floor I wasn’t disturbed.

Stayed overnight to attend a wedding reception nearby. Very friendly team, room clean and tidy, comfy bed, carpets going up to accommodation are a little tired but this definitely isn’t reflected in the accommodation. Food very well presented, super breakfast. Would definitely visit again

Evening meal was excellent and plentiful. The service was also exceptionally swift despite being fairly busy when we ate. Unfortunately, we didn't get much sleep as an extractor fan was left on in the kitchen overnight, close to our room. The outer sash window in the bathroom would not close and so we had a very disturbed night. In addition I was surprised that no gluten free cereal or bread was in stock at breakfast. To be fair, when I asked for gluten free cereal someone quickly popped across to the Co-Op across the square to buy some!

Comfortable stay
Nice room. Chair had a large stain on which had not been cleaned. The stair carpet leading up to our room was dirty. The room itself was spotless clean and comfortable. We would happily stay there again.

Food was magnificent - never had such excellant food ever - however room 102 was like a shoe box it was a single room into which a double bed was shoehorned - there was a very small wardrobe with no clothes hangers, which was inaccessible due to bedside table - bedside light was a low energy bulb - which was so old it took at least 15mins to get to any sort of of light output.

Very quiet large room even though it’s a restaurant and pub. Very clean, period furniture. Wonderful shower and bath. Breakfast served by Robyn was one of the best we ever had.

A historic building with character. The staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful and welcoming. The food was very good indeed and generous in portions, particularly the breakfast. A nice atmosphere in the bar. The hotel is well situated and Aylsham is a pleasant town and base to explore Norfollk.

Food was great, room was done up nicely but some issues eg noises from next door rooms, toilet flush not great and shower controls stuck. Hard to get parking as not restricted to residents and the restaurant is very popular but food is good and large portions. Wifi wasn’t reliable.

Very popular pub/hotel
Very good room clean and comfortable, but could be noisy from the market square. Meals are large and very good, the staff very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was well placed for us to attend a wedding nearby. The room was spacious but there was no long mirror which was a bit of a disappointment when getting ready for a party. The shower was great but the door seal leaked a bit! The hotel is right in the centre of the town so was a bit noisy from traffic with the window open. Parking was limited but we always managed to squeeze in. There was a good choice of cooked breakfasts but service was slow.

An historic and interesting building . The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate a number of evening meals as well as breakfast during our stay. All were beautifully cooked. Great atmosphere in the bar of an evening. Great location to explore Norfolk. The only negative for us but it’s a big one, is that we found the bed in room 103 very uncomfortable. We are no bigger or heavier than the average sized person, but found the bed slopes quite badly. As a result we did not get a good nights sleep in four nights. So in conclusion we definitely recommend staying here, just try a different room and test the bed lol.
