"Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested.
We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot.
Plenty of parking.
Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay.
That's why we keep going back and also you have a choice of breakfast part of the deal."

"My wife and I stayed for three nights at Bartles Lodge in August 2026. We were warmly welcomed by proprieters upon arrival. The premises were clean and comfortable, we opted for a continental breakfast and the selection offered was excellent. We ate two evening meals which were hot and tasty and well presented. The main lounge was spacious with a bar, tv and reading materials. Although we weren't fishing, the lodge was a great facility to stay at in quiet and beautiful surroundings. We highly...

Explore Norwich Cathedral's soaring spires and the medieval Norwich Castle, where interactive exhibits bring Norman history to life. Wander through 'The Lanes' cobblestone streets, stopping at independent shops and the colourful stalls of Norwich Market, England's oldest open-air market.
Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided.
Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast.
The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

All the little additions that make a great b&b are considered and make the stay special. The breakfast is good value and the service is really attentive and aimed to give you a great experience. The information they provide is also helpful but they could do with up dating some of the restaurant reccomendations which were in some cases overly optimistic in the presentation! Fab stay would thoroughly reccomend.

We picked this hotel at random whilst travelling towards Norwich just expecting an ordinary little pub. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to a roomy room with a large en suite. Also deciding to have dinner we were served a beautifully presented meal which would compete favorably with many of the restaurants in the area and beyond. The staff were friendly and well versed in the history of the area.

Tucked away in a little hamlet, this delightful guest house is a gem of a find. Everything is well maintained, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was as good as it gets, all personally served at the table in the large modern kitchen diner. The staff were kind, helpful and with a good degree of local knowledge. There is a hot tub in the garden and just steps away from the local pub which serves good food. We have no hesitation in saying you will be very happy to stay there....

She showed us to room which was very well equipped and extremely clean. We had the four poster suite which was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic served by Tony who was always very friendly and always found time for a chat offering a wide range which filled us up till the evening. Beautiful surroundings in a lovely quiet village . Hosts were very welcoming and friendly and facilities were great . The en-suite double room we had was like having your own little bedsit . TV , settee and large comfy bed . Grounds to the property were lovely with lots of trees and fishing ponds . We only stared for one night but it was spot on . I think if we had stayed any longer we would not have wanted to go home .

I've stayed here once or twice a year for many years now for the simple I like it. The odd niggle maybe but who's perfect? Never a serious complaint. Staff always helpful. Food always good and freshly prepared. I could go on.

A great room in an excellent location minutes away from the sea. It's a two minute walk to the seafront, restaurants, shops, coffee shops etc. Despite the excitement location, it's on a quiet street.
Check in was simple and smooth thanks to clear instructions. Highly recommended. Thank you.
