"I enjoyed an overnight stay after a football match. Immediately after my booking I e-mailed the hotel with a few questions. they responded promptly and in a very helpful manner. I arrived and everything that was discussed was exactly right. I had no idea just how good this hotel is. This was my first stay but it won't be my last. I only booked a room with breakfast and so I didn't have dinner or use the bar. I would have no hesitation in doing so. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was clean and exactly as you would expect. Breakfast was exactly as I hoped and again staff could not have been more friendly and helpful."

"Dreadful shower! To operate it you have to climb into the bath and turn it on and get blasted by freezing cold water until the warm water arrives. Other than that things were good."

"Our whole stay was enjoyable, the staff were pleasant and helpful, the only thing we found a bit of a problem was we booked a double bed but they gave us 2 singles pushed together."

"The hotel is brilliant, location is fantastic especially if travelling by train. The rooms were clean, spacious and well stocked with tea coffe etc. and great to have a fridge in the room with bottle water. Great having proper milk in a bottle it is was a great addition. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Food was superb in the restaurant and breakfast room"

"I stayed in a Club Double which was well maintained and had the usual facilities for a 3 star hotel. I didn't use the gym but the swimming pool and spa facilities were easy to use and most pleasant. Close to the station, bus interchange and to the centre of Chester whilst not being right in the middle. The buffet breakfast was OK for a 3 star hotel but the quality of the coffee could be improved!"
