"First of all let me compliment the Staff. The owners were great, nothing was too much bother. They answered every need and such lovely people. The room was clean, serviced and made up every day. The breakfast and other meals you could order were excellent. The views and scenery are stunning. Great location for Trekking. The town is only 15 minutes away in a taxi. Use grab taxis as they are cheaper. You can book tours and trek leaders from the local community. Sapa City is lovely. The hotel...

"We loved our stay in Cat Ba! Linda was an amazing host and the staff were so helpful. We had the most delicious hot pot there one evening. Linda helped us with all our planning. It had a quaint garden with puppies running around, and monkeys howling in the distance. A/C worked and our daughter swam in the pool at night. Would recommend if looking for a homestay in the area!"

"I picked Sapaxa as I wanted to experience Sapa much closer to nature. There are only 8 cottages so it is such an itimate vibe. Mua really helped with everything that you need and really my made my stay so much better. The bed is one of the most comfortable bed you'll ever sleep on! An hour hike away is a Hmong village, easy hike and do not miss out on the herbal bath in the village.
The water pressure in the shower is not the best but the hot water at least is very good. The food at the...

"Staying at Rocky Mountain Ecolodge was the highlight of my trip. The host is a superstar—she helped me with laundry, bike rentals, and served a great breakfast every morning. She even took the stress out of my departure by coordinating a car back to Hanoi. Super supportive of travelers and the location is stunning. I’ll definitely be back!"

"This was a fabulous place to stay! Interesting scenic location, clean large facilities and the friendliest, helpful staff. They helped us sort out our luggage storage issue so we could spend the day in Tam Coc prior to the sleeper bus! Our very big thanks!"

"The view was amazing, the staff was so kind and friendly and went above and beyond to be accommodating. The breakfast that was included was also delicious and we had dinner at the home stay one night which was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to everyone "

"We stayed here for 4 nights, the service was always friendly and vey attentive. My wife love the decor of the hotel. We found it to also be in a great location for everything we wanted to do and see, the area was very walkable. The service was fantastic right up to them walking us safely across the street to our grab and staying to wave as we drove off. The service didn’t stop there they even reached out to us to make sure we arrived at the airport safely. I’m not sure how we picked this hotel from all the hotels in Hanoi but I’m sure glad we did!!!!"
"This property was, by far, the best property so far on my journey through Thailand and Vietnam. The upgraded room was sensational with really comfy bedding.
Lilly and Aiden were my favorites. They even allowed me to check in early. Both of them made my time there totally enjoyable. Aiden also coached me on full day activities. I only wish I’ll have an experience like this property while in Vietnam, but I don’t think so."
"The Oriental Jade is a beautiful boutique hotel. While we there only one night, our experience was quite memorable. We checked in late and headed to the rooftop bar for a late night snack and a nightcap. The views of Hanoi and the lake were amazing. The grilled chicken skewers were very tasty and the cocktails were too.
We needed to leave early morning so the staff made arrangements for us to get early access (15 minutes) for breakfast.
Due to a scheduling snafu with a tour operator, we were not able to be picked up at the hotel and told to walk 5 minutes with our heavy luggage to a meeting point. Harry, the bellman, insisted that he help us and walked our large suitcases and us to the meeting point which was about 600 meters away. That is service!!
Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time there, so we will definitely book at this hotel on our next visit to Hanoi."
"Everything was fine overall, except there was construction noise at night behind the hotel. The staff kindly upgraded us to a quieter, superior room. Make sure to request a room that does not face the construction area."
"We had a really enjoyable 3 night stay at the Peridot. The beds were super comfortable, making it easy to relax after busy days exploring, and the pool was perfect for a refreshing afternoon wind-down. What really stood out, though, was the staff friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They genuinely made the stay feel welcoming and easy. A great place to base yourself for a few nights."
"We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Premium Hotel in Hanoi and would highly recommend it. The entire staff, including Da, was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring we felt well-supported throughout our visit. One of the standout features of this hotel is its location; it is perfectly situated in the heart of the Old Quarter and is only two blocks away from St. Joseph Cathedral.
While the street outside is very busy and full of life, the hotel itself is a very clean and well-maintained retreat where the rooms are serviced every single day. We stayed in a room facing the back to a wall which was likely much quieter than those facing the front. Although there were some intermittent noises that could be a bit annoying depending on how soundly you sleep, the room was generally comfortable and tidy.
The breakfast was another highlight of our stay, offering a great variety that always included fresh fruit as well as both Western and Asian style options. We particularly enjoyed having eggs prepared exactly to our liking. Additionally, the hotel provides laundry services and tour assistance in a very timely and professional manner, making the logistics of our trip much smoother."
