Room was well appointed and clean.
Very noisy doors when closing, despite trying to close very quietly.
Breakfast was a little disappointing as no white bread available at all only wheat.
Also no milk available for coffee after breakfast time as only creamers/half and half provided.

This is a quirky hotel which has had some very famous visitors.
The standard room we had, at the front of the hotel, was not huge but clean and cosy. The bed was really comfortable too.
Trains (huge freight trains) do run near to the hotel but we didn't find the noise a problem.
We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but several breakfasts which were delicious.
There weren't many options for vegans but I was able to get soya and oat milk, although some staff were much more "on the...

Great value, super friendly team- that's front of house, room clean, breakfast team everyone . Its such a shame that they choose to you paper plates, bowls and plastic silverware / cutlery- prefer to pay a few dollars more per night.
Its a definite yes from us

Clean, neat and welcoming but the hotel is showing its age and needs a bit of apeucing up. No complaints about cleanliness in the rooms, while breakfast was also good.
