"Good location. Needs in house food and beverage."
Central location. We walked to the Space Needle (took the monorail back most of the way), to a Capital hill restaurant (a bit of effort as its uphill), Pioneer square, and waterfront destinations. There are coffee shops and cafes and gin mills nearby, as the hotel is downtown. But-
Alas, I did not bother to check and was not aware this hotel (Oct '15) has neither in house food or drink due to renovation. Not even soda machines. That renders the pleasant lobby rather pointless. It also precludes room service. It would have been nice if the hotel had a flier of local restraints, or at least the number for a pizza shop or deli that delivered in the evenings.
The rooms are not large, but neither are they tiny. Our 5th floor double bed room was comfortable and quiet.
This hotel is much nicer than a chain 2 star, but absent food and drink available in house I can't rate it better than a chain 3 star.
We found our stay at the Paramount very pleasing. The room was large and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. They accomodated us with a late checkout as we had an afternoon flight out and I was not feeling well.
I try to stay here every time I have to be in Seattle for business (3-4 times per year). It has always been a good choice for me and this time was no different. Nice walk to downtown or I can take a free bike if I'm in a hurry.
The staff was outstanding. Decor was cool. The room was clean. The location is convenient to everything. The only complaint is the rooms are small but we will definitely come back! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The room was huge!!! Some of the furniture looked old, the paint was peeling off; which is a bit odd considering that the hotel is very modern and it seems new.
Other than that, it is a really nice hotel! Its location is excellent!
Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.
