About half an hour north of Shin-Osaka, the park occupies the site of the 1970 Japan World Exposition. You can still see some of the original exhibits, including the Japanese Garden, Japan Folk Crafts Museum and the 65-metre high Tower of the Sun. Also within the national park are several important temples linked to ancient Mountain Buddhism sites.
