Things to note- if bringing your dog, they are not allowed on the beach between 9-5, cannot go to the pool area and are not allowed to be left alone at the camp site -so it’s difficult to do much during the day unless you’re planning to stay at the campsite only. "Our group had the Backyard Campground all to ourselves on a wonderful Friday evening. Doug (owner) met us at the entrance and gave us a quick tour before pointing us back towards our campsites. We thoroughly enjoyed the riverside sites overlooking his neighbor's beautiful farm. Firewood was provided and the portable restrooms were sparklingly clean. Would love to come back and stay again next time."

"Pros: good pillows, clean shower/bathroom Staff is great, breakfast is decent, gym is good for basic workout better than many hotel gyms, good central location, blackout shades are dine right with no light allowed in. I can’t express how helpful and wonderful the shades were! Pool table and lobby lounge is nice. Cons: stayed in room #404\. Biggest complaint is Tyvola Rd noise is too much. Not so much you couldn’t sleep but definitely ever present and annoying. Some noise form other rooms as well. Overall this is a great place to stay. I would stay again but would try for a room on the other end of the hotel away from Tyvola Rd. Staff is helpful and courteous. There are two other hotels run by Hilton in basically the same parking lot. I would be interested to see how they compare. "
