"Great location. Hotel is historic and shows its age at times. I prefer more intimate hotels - Royal York feels more like a convention centre, food is pricey and they no longer have the coffee shop for a quick bite.. staff were very helpful."

"The staff here is top notch! Everyone went out of their way to be more than just polite. Not one complaint there. The rooms are VERY dated, i found our room dingy, and for the price we paid, i expected much better. The bathroom is tiny and toilet area was very weird, the pullout bed in the king suite was not convenient at all, there was no room to pass and go to the bathroom or the exit from the bedroom. Also the low ceiling made us feel claustrophobic in the bedroom. I would not book this room ever again. We opted for the club package but not sure that I would do that again. Breakfast was ok. The pool area was great, and the lobby has a lot of seating and was comfortable."

"The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was convenient and offered more than expected. There wasn't always bottled water available as advertised. Elevators were slow at peak times and not numerous but we were forewarned by staff and were able to accomodate."

"I stayed here with my two kids for 6 nights. The location was great, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the music in the lounge every night. I would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel looked newly renovated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Amenities seemed good but we didn't have time to partake in happy hour or breakfast. Only negatives: Only one side chair in the room for two people, so uncomfortable for one of us to have to sit on the bed. Would recommend requesting not to be next to a staff room. Our room was next to staff room/bed against wall to the staff room which had 2 loud bangs against the wall in the middle of the night - assumed maybe carts being brought in/out."
