"We had an absolutely incredible stay at The Rise Osaka Universal Bayside. I reached out just one day before flying to Japan, and the team went above and beyond by allowing us to check in early at 10am instead of the standard 10pm. When we arrived at 9am after nearly 25 hours without proper sleep, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely staff member who not only assisted with our check-in but also let us know our room was already ready. That moment alone made a huge difference for us. She personally walked us to our room and helped us settle in, which really set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room itself was clean, tidy, and spacious—we had a two-bedroom setup with a great balcony view. The inclusion of a washing machine was a massive bonus and made our two-week stay incredibly convenient. The hotel was easy to navigate, and everything felt well thought out. The breakfast service was fantastic, and both lunch and dinner options were delicious and reasonably priced. What truly stood out, though, was the hospitality. Every single staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile each day—it genuinely felt like they cared. That level of consistency is rare and made this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The location is also excellent—Ajikawaguchi Station is only about a 5-minute walk away, and having both FamilyMart and 7‑Eleven nearby made everything super convenient. "Buffet was great- location was a quick walk from the train station and the shuttle to airport was a nice convenience. Note that the free shuttle was only available in the morning- at least on the Friday we left so if you needed to leave for the airport after 9am you needed to book a taxi. The 24hr Lawsons on the second floor of the hotel was another bonus. My 10 year old had fun using up the last of her Yen buying snacks. "

"Our family enjoyed a four night stay at Hotel Keihan Universal. The primary draw was obviously the location next to USJ, but it served us well during the other parts of our Osaka travels as well. The room was very clean, staff were welcoming, the breakfast buffet was phenomenal, and the onsen was a really nice addition. Specifically we enjoyed the spaciousness of the room for our family of four, along with the in-room refrigerator and tea kettle. Dining options next to the hotel were plentiful, which made it easy to grab dinner or a snack after a long day. Its proximity next to the train station made it easy to access. We also appreciated the onsite washers and dryers, which allowed us to pack lighter on our trip."

"Staff members were very helpful. The room had an amazing view of Osaka (we were on the 29th floor) Then room conditions were very old. Carpet looked dirty and there were multiple food and food stains still stuck on the bed runner on 2 of the 4 beds in the room, unsure if it was ever washed. Overall would not book again. "
