The hotel was about 10km south of where it had been shown on the hotels.com map, which was nice in a way, but meant an extra haggle with our taxi driver and a 20 minute rickshaw ride, and another awkward haggle, to get to Kovalam. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, though the AC couldn't cope with more than a few hours without making the most horrific noise. I'd purposefully asked Abad hotels if the hotel had an alcohol licence and a bar, I was assured it did. It does not. The 'restaurant' was little more than a canteen. Room service direct to our veranda fixed this no problem. It was generally attractive with a pleasant beach 5 minutes walk away. Great for a few days of relaxation and staff friendly and helpful throughout.
