"lovely two night stay in the very reasonably priced Kings Arms Hotel, Lockerbie. The staff were very helpful & friendly and the room was newly refurbished and decorated. Dinner was delicious - I would recommend the steak pie !"

"I would strongly recommend ringing ahead before arriving for check in as there isn't the usual reception on site and no late check in. And even checking in at 7pm was a slightly nerve wracking procedure that took several nervous minutes of ringing doorbells, Ring Door Camera, texts and two phone calls until I finally managed to speak to the owner, who was off site and arranged for someone(I believe another tenant) to let check in. Eventually it was NOT a problem - but well worth ringing ahead! That said, the hotel was clean with good facilities - TV, tea, coffee, kettle and efficient modern shower. The morning staff were delightful and the full English Breakfast was generous and well prepared. Just over 10 minutes walk from the train station."
