Bed ok, pillows bad, staff great. Shower no pressure and tiny. Temp control of water awkward. Would normally be quite but there was a party that night which made it loud and the fireworks didn't help.

Decent room, clean and perfectly serviceable, plenty of hot water for showers. Much better than some of the reviews make you think. I guess it depends what you're used to? Breakfast was good as well, cooked to order, served on a hot plate, decent quality and quantity. While I might not bring my wife here for a romantic weekend, I'd be more than happy to stay with mates or for a work trip, so will be back in future when I'm in the area.

Great value

The gentleman checking us in was super nice and hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, minus the instant coffee. Our family room was basic but had everything we needed. The shower was interesting to use.

Friendly overnight stay in Carlisle

Old building with character in a good position on main road going into Carlisle from South with good parking. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent value for money. Good sized room but not much furniture

Hotel with character

On the whole we really enjoyed the stay at this hotel and would probably stay here again as very convenient for match visits to Brunton Park. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was a bit hard for our liking and there wasnt a hairdrier. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Disappointing

Lovely big room and bed was very comfy. However, cleanliness let it down. We had someone elses towels left hanging on bathroom door and the bin was filthy inside. Also, surprised no mattress protector.

Basic hotel, pay for what u get.

Good Brekky! You could purchase a hi-viz jacket from the tent outside.. Good location and a nice restaurant next door

Arrived late but able to access room without a problem. Stayed for two nights in a reasonably comfortable room but, despite request after the first night, had no TV remote. However an excellent breakfast that was very welcome. Might stay again if in the area.

The hotel was clean and cosy. The decor could do with a little attention. The staff, especially the gentleman were excellent. The main bathroom light and the bed side wall light were not working and an electrician was not available so the three of us and our dog were all given free breakfasts. We had a bedside lamp and a more than suitable morror light in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Our little fur baby was treated like a king!

Reception was great very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very basic, but there is a lot of ambient noise from other rooms upstairs and neighbouring rooms. Generally, the building is tired both internally and externally. I was woken a couple of times in the night by very noisy neighbours and unfortunately you can hear the use of other bathrooms in neighbouring rooms which is rather unpleasant.

Well the property was in a desired location for my wifes graduation the day after arrival that was a easy 5 min drive down the road thats about as good as it got the room was a bit dated in urgent need or updating there was a few things wrong in the room that i wont go into the breakfast was good the bed was good enough for the night sleep we both needed a shower in the morning but was always going hot and cold but we managed so like i said it was in a convenient location so we were prepared to let the small stuff not bother us we arrived at 8.30pm and left at 10 am the next day so in a nut shell probably wouldnt go back unless the property went through a good update.

We had a comfortable stay, bed was clean and comfortable, however never had 2 pillows in one case before… !! Unfortunately we had a snorer below but heyho, the shower didn’t have much pressure but towels were nice and it was good to have shower n shampoo… but no conditioner but the use of a hairdryer was good 👍 breakfast was ok, overall good 2 star hotel thanks for having us 🙏

Staff are Great and very accommodating!

Very welcoming staff, who went out of their way to accommodate us with a late check-in and check out. My children really enjoyed our stay in this cosy hotel in Carlisle!
