The neighborhood also has plenty of outdoor recreational space, with quick access to City Park, Bayou St. John, New Orleans Museum of Art, Fairgrounds, and the Lafitte Greenway. Old-growth oak trees line popular thoroughfares, like Bienville, Banks and Canal streets.
