The property manager was there to greet us when we arrived and made sure everything was good before he left. The front porch and back porch were nice gathering areas. The place was clean, the appliances and A/C all worked fine, and everything matched the description. The downstairs layout is shotgun style, which is not my preference, but is pretty clear from the pictures. As advertised, plenty of room for 10 people. We never had a problem with parking, and the location was convenient with grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. ##### Garner P. My friends and I got scammed by a hotel and had to find a place to stay within a week of going to New Orleans for the Eras Tour. Luckily we found this gem of a house! It was everything we had hoped for, with enough rooms and beds for almost all of us to have our own and not have to share rooms Plenty of bathrooms and a full kitchen with wash/dryer!! The location was also great - we would've liked to stay within walking distance from the French quarter but that was not in the cards. But this place was practically right by a streetcar stop so it honestly made things a lot easier for us!! The Winner Dixie next door came in handy and there are some lovely restaurants in the area as well that are walkable! Three of the 5 of us were escaping Florida ahead of hurricane Helene. Communication with the host prior to our visit was excellent as we weren’t sure we were going to make the trip due to the storm. Beds were all very comfortable and we had plenty of community space to spend time together yet we each had our own bedroom. We found out on our last day where the trolley/street car pick up was just a block or two away. We had Uber everywhere else prior to that, but didn’t have to Uber to the grocery store because it was just across the street which made it nice to gather up our rations food and beverages for the weekend. It was incredibly easy to check in, the rooms were spacious and well decorated. There was plenty of space in the common areas to gather and hang out. The best part was definitely the host. He was very attentive. Therr was a potential issuse with one of the AC that happened rignt before I checked in. He called me before I even arrived and let me know that this could be an issue and to let him know and he'd handle it. I arrived and the AC was indeed not working. So i called the property manager back to let him know. He had already called his AC guy to come and take a look. He gave me his contractor's number so we could coordinate so our evening wouldn't be disrupted. My friends and I left for dinner and by the time we got back, the AC was fixed. There is a lot of room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was ok and there was a WinnDixie within walking distance. My only concern is with the cleanliness. The vents were coated with dust and had mold around them on the ceiling on the second floor. The walls had dust on them where the vents blew out and the a/c and the water filter at the fridge both need the filter changed and maintenanced (alerts on the machines). Winn Dixie is right next door along with anything else you could need. The house has been renovated beautifully. It has all new bathrooms and appliances, but they left the original wood floors, Kitchen wall coverings and wood trim so it is modern but still gives a truly Historic New Orleans feel.
