Set on the edge of one of the most iconic neighborhoods in New Orleans, skyhouse Bywater is your gateway to the best of this exciting city. Although music, dining, and night-time recreation are within easy reach, you may find you never want to leave this bright, airy sanctuary, high above the fray of everyday life.

The space
For your comfort, we offer king size beds by Helix Sleep with luxurious bedding and bath linens by Standard Textile. Our soaps, shampoo and conditioner are by Public Goods. If you choose to cook, the renovated kitchen comes fully stocked.

Once you're rested and cleaned, in short walking distance you have numerous music and food options, including Vaughn's, Bacchanal, Bar Redux, Jack Dempsey's, Parleux Beer Lab, The Joint, BJ's Lounge, Malimo Coffee, Bywater Bakery and Elizabeth's. Plus numerous more in Bywater with a short bike ride or rideshare – not to miss for foodies are N7, Saint-Germain and Paladar 511. Then of course the French Quarter and the Marigny are right next door as well.

If you are new to New Orleans you should be aware that our neighborhoods are different than most places in the USA. There are colorful characters roaming the streets and our houses are close together, indeed our wonderful home shares a wall with the next door neighbors. They have a sweet dog who will usually greet you from inside her house as you walk up our front steps. And just across the street is the neighborhood fire department, so you might hear them as they head to their work, or see them as they wash their fire engines. These peculiarities are all things we celebrate in New Orleans, and we hope you enjoy them as you become part of our neighborhood family for the duration of your stay.

Early check-in/late check-out policy: We're happy to provide a late check-out if we don't have guests arriving the same day. Delighted

This place exceeded our expectations. It was so clean, the beds were big and comfy, and there wasn’t a list of 25 housekeeping things for us to do at checkout. (Which is one of our major pet peeves with renting a house for a trip) It really was relaxing. We will for sure rent a place through this company again, thanks!

Bywater Review

We had a great time in New Orleans and this property is very close to the French Quarter, a 5 to 10 minute drive. The place is very spacious and nicely laid out with three good sized bedrooms. There was plenty of room for four adults. We definitely recommend if you're coming to New Orleans to see the French Quarter and don't want to pay high hotel rates then this is a great choice.

Great potential BUTT

Upon arrival the outside and the neighborhood look nothing like on line pictures. The place inside was very nice as long as you don’t mind the upstairs neighbors being able to look down into the bathroom window that had no coverings. The home shared a wall with another unit that had 2 dogs. The walls were not very well insulated so the dogs heard us and we heard them. It was a clean house. The neighborhood did have some walking opportunities for food drinks and antiques. But not everyone would feel safe walking it. Also the drive way into the property had a very steep incline and almost took out the front of my car. Can’t really say I’ll be back!
