I later learned the hotel offers private transfer services, yet this option was never presented to us—especially critical during a taxi strike when safer, controlled transportation should have been proactively communicated. After the incident, I called the hotel from the police station in a distressed state seeking assistance. Despite being approximately 10 minutes away, I was told I would need to walk 20 minutes to a pickup location and wait up to two hours for a scheduled transfer—something that had never been explained during my stay. Only after expressing significant distress was I offered an immediate pickup for an additional €45\. This response demonstrated a lack of urgency, empathy, and basic duty of care in a moment involving guest safety."
