The Naruko Onsen Tourist Information Centre is centrally located here, offering maps and advice.

Couples looking for a relaxing retreat will find this area ideal. Many ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) offer private onsen baths, allowing for an intimate and tranquil experience. Strolling along the river and exploring the small craft shops selling kokeshi dolls adds to the romantic appeal.

The best time to visit Naruko is during autumn, particularly from late October to early November, for the stunning display of autumn leaves, or in winter for a traditional onsen experience.

Winter, from December to February, offers a different kind of appeal. The Naruko Onsen area becomes a peaceful retreat, ideal for those seeking relaxation in the hot springs. Many ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) feature outdoor baths where you can enjoy the warmth of the onsen surrounded by snow.
