Ercolano is a nice little town and right across the street from an entrance to the Heracleum. The breakfast had a lot of choices. The breakfast was simple, but perfect for our needs. The staff here was amazing, they helped us find a bus to Vesuvio, let us store our bags, and helped us get our luggage up and down the stairs with the maintenance elevator. Pompeii also Naples accessible by train just watch train times stopping at Herculaneum as they’re infrequent. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The roof terrace was lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was simple but sufficient (would have liked some fruit.) The room was spotlessly clean - there are electric shutters which we didn’t find till the last day! The only issues were that the hot water was very hit and miss; the bed was awful (you heard everyone in the place if they turned over during the night); you could hear conversations from other rooms quite clearly (I must mention that I'm partially deaf).
