It was a older style Hotel, which made it unique and interesting. Privately owned Hotel where the owners care. The other guest there were younger than us,but very nice and respectful. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks so very much for a pleasant stay and for the accurate score that was given to the Hotel before me.

The hotel room we were provided I did not expect to be on the 1st floor where you do not get any privacy because everybody is walking pass. It gets pretty loud.

The staff were very friendly and courteous and the property was maintained. Nice place over all. The shower, however, has very little preasure. The immediate surrounding areas, just beyond the property were a bit of an eyesore, vacant lots, unkept & littered. But the view of the beach, from the window in our 3rd floor room was decent, I was able to capture a pretty nice pic.

This is truly a diamond in the rough! What great customer service and insight that we got from Kountry (who, even with a bit of sickness still had fantastic charisma and charm! (and late at night when we arrived)), and what a nice, cozy, updated room they had! While there are no elevators due to the age of the property, the advantage of proximity to the beach and boardwalk are slim to none! If you're looking for an affordable getaway right next to the beach, Midtown is a great accommodation!

Midtown was excellent! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the hotel itself is very cute, plus it was very easy to walk down to the beach.

Super easy check in! Don't let the outside fool you. There's a lot of remodeling going but inside was extra clean. Bathroom was gorgeous. Super soft beds and pillows. We will stay there again!

Let's see, let's start with the good. It was very clean, and it is very convenient to walk to a number of things right at the ocean front , and it's one of those you get what you pay for situations and you can't beat the price for what you get. The not so good. The building is a bit dated and our door didn't close without extreme force. The single pain glass on the front made it very loud for things driving down the street, particularly at 3:00 a.m. when the street sweeper came through. Overall though, inexpensive and clean so you can ask for too much more

Tv wouldn’t come on and the trash can outsides plastic liner kept flapping all Night and drive me crazy, but if you move the can and call down for tv help you’ll be okay. Very clean

Beds were comfortable, fridge and freezer had separate doors, and hot water was pretty fast. Would be good to add some coat hooks since there is no closet to hang some clothes. Had an issue with the Smart tv but was fixed quickly.

This is an old property that they are working on. The room had been updated and they were working on the exterior of the building while we were there. The room (409) we were in needs weatherstripping as there was a large gap around the door. It is very convenient for access to the beach and the boardwalk area. The parking was good and we really liked all of the security cameras arpund the building.

This was our second stay here. We like how close it is to the beach and the boardwalk. For the price it’s not worth staying anywhere else. It’s has a small kitchen and comes equipped with everything you need. We got married down here this time and had pizza at the hotel after. It was nice having big picnic tables to eat outside at. All the staff is super friendly and Christian helped us order our pizza for our “reception”. The only things I don’t care for is the beds are only full size beds. We have a king size bed at home and 2 nights I ended up in the other bed, and they don’t have elevators. There is now a $25 up-charge to request a 1st floor room. The air conditioning blows right on the bed next to it too. We solved that problem by putting the extra pillows on the floor next to it. We go in the off season durning the week so it’s quiet then.

unfortunately, this property has a great location, close to the beach and the boardwalk area. I had two double beds and one bed had dirty sheets, someone has slept in the bed and housekeeping did not change the sheets, there were crumbs and dead knats in between the sheets. Just fyi, because of its location to the boardwalk area, you can hear the club music until 2 am. I couldn't sleep at all with the loud music pumping all night. The update bathroom would have been a nice hihglighted feature of the room but it had mold in the shower stall area, the shower current had mold on it and there were splatter marks all over the mirror and walls around the bowl sink. Just plain lack of house keeping! The new flooring was nice but it was littered with dirt. Great they left you with a broom and dust pan but when you try to pick up after sweeping the dust pan is not flush with the floor so no can do. Its shame because this property could have a lot of potential if they maintained the property and enhanced the retro vibe and actually did some house keeping. Oh there are no cottages to be found. Huge disappointment
