"Booked the Gwbert Hotel for a 2 night stay before and following a Register Office marriage in Aberystwyth. The room and food were excellent. However, the hotel was informed weeks before our arrival, that the stay would be to celebrate our marriage. Unfortunately, on arrival the staff denied any knowledge of being notified of our event, and even when made aware made no effort or gestures to acknowledge our big day. The marriage details were clearly given to the hotel when the booking was made online and followed up with by phone. Shockingly, we were made to prove the phone call by showing our call log!! We gave the staff every opportunity to rectify their oversight, but still no gesture to make our stay special was made. The hotel is clearly not prepared or able to deal with special occasions which was extremely disappointing."

We had b&b and the cooked breakfast wasn't great. Bacon wasn't cooked enough for me and the mushrooms seemed to be out of a tin. But this is just my preference. We would stay again but maybe see if there's a bigger room and choose something different for breakfast."
