The staff and locals at The Red Lion were all so lovely and welcoming to us both, he enjoyed playing darts and pool with some of the regulars. Modern and spotless. Good location for the town, and very friendly helpful staff. All good. Nice boozer too. Public parking around the corner - and its free! Downside is its often full during the day - better to wait until after 5pm if you can. There are plenty of other parking options around the town. The room was very clean, everything you needed was there plenty of tea and coffee on the plus side there was a mini fridge, king size bed all the toiletry you need.. the shower was a good size big shower head, made a real change not to have white towels we had a light grey made a huge difference.. The hosts were brilliant, didn’t need for anything. In the evening good entertainment in the pub, we went out local to have food at the priory cafe, which was excellent only a five minute walk away where we had, Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings good size potions.
