"It was clean and accessible. No street noise or guest noise. Walkable to the train station. Comfortable bed. Very basic breakfast and basic tea & coffee. No local eateries except for poor takeaways. Staff not particularly friendly. "

"Positives first, we had a family wedding near by and were allowed to check into the room at1pm instead of 4.30pm which was greatly appreciated. There is ample free on site parking and the building from the outside looks very nice.However the property is very dated and in desperate need of renovation."

"Nothing fancy about Hipbone but it was pleasant enough, we were visiting the racehorse + it was about half a mile away which was ideal. Breakfast was ok, a bit cold but I didn't complain. "

The location is right on the main street so there was some traffic noise and we didnt find the heating or wifi controls - maybe some info in the room would help? This did not trouble us enough to seek help though, so overall a positive experience 🙂"

It was only an hour and twenty away from our base in weston super mare .The surrounding area is lovely we ate at the old court hotel and the next day went to ross on wye .we would defiantly stay again . "Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. "Beautiful, clean home from home with stunning views and nature all around. Tucked away in a field that gave us the beautiful peace and tranquility we wanted but only a short drive from the lovely markets and shops of Abergavenny. We loved it and will be back. Thank you."
