"The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was excellent. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but overall the experience was very positive."

"It is beautifully located hotel on top of a hill, with truly stunning views over the sea (if you have sea view room). The surrounding gardens are lush and very well maintained, adding to the overall atmosphere of the property. The rooms are comfortable and in line with the hotel’s category. However, there were several issues during the stay that affected the experience. On one occasion, a member of staff entered my room without knocking while I was still asleep, which was quite uncomfortable, and no apology was offered. On another day, the room was not serviced at all, and on a different day the housekeeping was minimal — only the towels were changed, the bed was not even made. In addition, the restaurant closes quite early, and breakfast service also finishes early, which may be inconvenient for guests. There are also no nearby shops or cafés within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, the staff are polite and the hotel corresponds to its star rating, but housekeeping would certainly benefit from improvement and additional training to ensure a more consistent standard of service."

"I've written such a positive review as i was supporting a visually impaired young adult with a physical disability also, from tim of check-in to time of departure the staff went above & beyond to make it an enjoyable stay with kindness & consideration for our needs. It's an old building but has plenty of character, the rooms had the best sea view you could ask for. Everything was clean and well presented in both rooms, we couldn't have asked for more. We had our evening meal & breakfast at the hotel, both where enjoyed with a fair choice and a fair price, service was also super friendly. Really couldn't have asked for more from start to finish, i would recommend and love to stay again. Well done to The Queen's Hotel ☺️"

"Had a poor experience at this hotel I would not visit again I checked in 31st March had a long drive down the woman on the reception was not helpful at all we checked in slightly earlier but she just said check in is 3pm I get that I’ve travelled the world my point is she was just rude she couldn’t even suggest in waiting in the lobby, I had to take all my cases back to the car as there is no direct car park for this hotel which is another joke no one tells you this till you arrive so they take your keys away we don’t know where it gets parked and they keep the keys, well I wasn’t going to let that happen. Went for dinner that night the guy that welcomed us was very nice and welcoming as for the other staff which really let’s this places down are very lazy not pro active I asked for 2 cocktails a pornstar Martini I’ve never seen a pot rat martini served like this before was so watered down and the presentation was poor, dinner was good apart from the desert chocalte pudding more like rock hard straight out the freezer when asked the waiter he said he would let the chef know that’s no good like I said poor customer service let’s thisplaced down then at brekkie my chair broke in front of everyone again the staff are not active at all so lazy I had to ask if I could move tables and then on top of that we had to wait for our cooked breakfast over 30 mins bearing in mind the hotel is not busy yet so I dread to think what it would’ve like at peak My Tv in room and internet crap "

"The staff were very friendly and the room was diligently cleaned every day. The inclusivity of an early breakfast was usful as public transport in Cornwall means I often had to get up early and having food ready was incredibly helpful."
