We hired the whole house in August 2023 and were not disappointed. The owners kindly left us a welcome basket and had the house ready for our arrival. The location is approx. 10 minutes walk from the beach and about 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Marazion. The owners popped by to say hello and answer any questions we had as well as giving us some good tips for dinner and days out. The location was great for us and we enjoyed says out to Perranporth, Flambards, Lands End, Michaels Mount. St Ives and a lovely walk along the coast into Penzance. For St Ives we got the train from St Erth which was around 4 miles away and had plenty of parking. The journey on the train was lovely as it goes around Hayle\\Carbis Bay before arriving in St Ives, having got their we knew we'd made the right decision as parking was very limited. When we got in, there was a welcome gift of some lovely scones and clotted cream which was just the cherry on top as the accomodation was beutifull. The sofa and chair in the seating are were so comfortable and we spenf the morning of day 2 just chilling out there with a book due to the rain, the bed was so comfortable i could have stayed in it all day. It was so much better than just a b&b due to having so much space, the included breakfast came in the form of fresh croisants which were delivered in the evening before, Bread, cereal, fruit, orange juice and yoghurt, all of which are in the property and replaced daily if used, to be honest it was more than enough and we found cereal, toast and croisants plenty. It was a short 10 min walk to get to the beach and then a few more minutes to walk across the beach/path to St Michaels mount, we also took the opportunity to walk the coast path to Penzance which was around 45 mins each way. There are plenty places to eat in Marazion, a bakery that does the obligatory cornish pasty and a couple of pubs, one of which (The Fire Engine) we ate in one night, nice pizza & beer and friendly staff. The Loft is fitted out to a high standard, and there's nothing better after a day of work as sitting on your own balcony with a cuppa and a free cream scone (4 of which are provided on your first night). The provided breakfast is varied, plentiful and more free fresh croissants arrive every day.... although for 1 person, 4 is definitely too many to get through each 24hrs. I look forward to hopefully staying again when back in the area for work later in the year.
