"The hotel property and staff were nothing short of amazing. Location is relatively close to the main terminal and central to many activities and points if interests. Clean, quiet, and well maintained property. Breakfast was great, tons of options, fresh, cooked well, and taste really good. Highly recommended for any travellers visiting the area looking to wind down after a full day of exploration, taking advantage of the public Onsen to soothes those sore muscles and aching joints."
"Room with Mt Fuji view = spectacular during clear sky! Breakfast quite expansive selection, although only 7am-9am, vs standard of 6:30/7am to 10am. Private room Kaiseki dinner was fabulous (not all rooms have private room) - a bit pricey overall but if you consider it an all-inclusive (minus lunch) then it’s fabulous. We were there three nights and didn’t leave property - would stay five nights next time! Nightly drum show was great for kids (and adults!)"
"Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The reception staff could neither speak nor understand basic English, which made the check-in process extremely difficult and stressful. Even when using Google Translate, communication remained a challenge, as the translated messages in their own language were still not properly understood, and we were repeatedly passed between staff members without resolution.
The concierge desk was consistently unattended, and we received no assistance with arranging local tours or even obtaining basic information such as bus routes or an English map of the area. Due to the language barrier, we were also unable to make restaurant or bar reservations through the hotel.
The room itself was very small and dated, with shabby décor that did not meet expectations. The bathroom was in particularly poor condition. Most concerning was the shower temperature control, which appeared to be stuck at 40°C, resulting in dangerously hot water without warning. When this issue was reported, instead of repairing or properly assessing the problem, the staff simply suggested that we move to another room while leaving our luggage behind in the original room, which felt both impractical and unprofessional.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor maintenance, and limited guest support significantly affected our experience."
"Hotel was really nice, very clean and spacious. They provided pyjamas, toothbrushes and other free amenities that you can collect at the reception area which was top quality. Only thing missing was Mt Fuji which was not visible for the two days we stayed which would have been an incredible view from our window. You can either walk from Kawaguchiko Station for 20mins or take the local bus which is a 5 minute ride to Asakasa which leaves you directly infront of the hotel. Would definitely recommend!"
"I was really excited to stay here, mainly because of the amazing view of Mount Fuji, and it absolutely delivered. The rooftop view was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Especially since it was a clear sunny day, not a cloud to be seen!
The room itself was okay. The television was quite small, though we didn’t really watch it anyway, and we understood that rooms in Japan can be a bit smaller. The experience of sleeping on the traditional tatami is very neat.
The only disappointing part was the complimentary breakfast experience. Guests could choose between a traditional Japanese breakfast, an egg salad sandwich, or another sandwich option. Our whole family had loved the egg salad sandwiches throughout Japan, so we selected those. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and we were served the traditional breakfast instead. When we asked if it could be changed, we were told it was too late. To be fair the traditional breakfast was quite good. It seemed more like a communication breakdown than anything else.
Overall, it was still a nice place to rest and enjoy the beautiful Mount Fuji views. Also, make sure to eat at Oden nearby, great food!"
"Room was spacious and clean, they give you a bag when you check in and you grab all the amenities you need. Near Yamanakako and bus station barely a 2 min walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well! For foreigners they have qr codes of videos of how to set up a futon and how to eat Chazuke for breakfast which I found very helpful!"
