"The lead-up to this one night stay was THE most stressful hotels dot com experience of my entire life. I paid for the room in December 2025, and between December 2025 and April 2026, I called Hotels.com for help to reschedule since I made a mistake and scheduled it during a time when one of my children was still in school and the other was on spring break. Numerous hours spent on phone calls, chats and emails were in vain as they claimed they couldn’t reach the property. I could not reach the property either, but since it is 2026, a landline phone should not have been their only option. I was forced to take my child out of school for two days. Even calling Choice Hotels, the parent company, didn’t help. When we finally got to the hotel, I asked why they didn’t answer their phones - ever - and they claimed their phone system was down and it would be back up shortly. How could a phone system be down for three months? They gave me an email address for future reference. Why didn’t Hotels.com have this? The stay itself was OK. We were just there for the sunrise, and nothing else. We had the free continental breakfast ( no eggs ) and coffee, and the staff apologized to us for the inconvenience. My husband told me that being on the balcony, watching the sun come up was his “happy place” on two different occasions, so I guess it was worth it. "

"Breakfast non eatable. To many full time residents hanging out smoking! Asked for an extra blanket and was given a UHaul furniture blanket. Was loud. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Rob and Clarissa's Carriage House. Rob is such a friendly and helpful "innkeeper," and an interesting person to talk to. The property is a beautiful spot on the bay to relax and enjoy sunsets and campfires. Rob also has canoes, yard games, and firewood available for your stay, which makes it easy to have fun. The house itself is beautiful and cozy - Rob built it himself! And you can feel the love he put into it. If you're from the city like me, you'll be stunned by how brightly the stars in the night sky shine when you're gazing up at them from a hammock by the bay. We were so relaxed by the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave. We will have to visit again sometime!"

"Room was ok, not too dirty but definitely outdated..floors could be better. Couldn’t find staff around 6:30am to check out so I left my room keys on their laptop. "

"Typical mid range-ac was not cold at all-which is a big minus for us."
