The property has been adapted to a very high spec, is spacious and well appointed. The terrace affords great views over the surrounding countryside and of the pool in the garden below. Montcabrier itself is a lovely bastide village with a church, medieval fortifications and, crucially, a boulangerie! We spent our week sightseeing (Chateau de Bonaguil a highlight), hiking (there are several great walks clearly marked starting from the village square), visiting vineyards (Ch. du Cedre is quality) and browsing markets (Prayssac on a Friday was the best).We mostly cooked for ourselves with the produce garnered from the local markets, but did treat ourselves to what proved to be a fantastic meal at Le Loup Blanc in St. Martin Le Redon (only 5 minutes away by car).All in all a lovely relaxing week in beautiful surroundings."
