Unique stay opportunity with amazing food. Sleeping on futon and tatami above a sushi restaurant is as about Japanese as an experience can get. I would recommend this location to everything and the food was sublime - the 13 course dinner has ruined me for sushi any where else and the breakfast was great too.

We loved Miyajima and staying at Iwaso was great. We were in an end room which had views towards the sea and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the onsen and had a lovely dinner.

The flat is located near the ferry port. It's a good spot to stay. The hosts gave us precisely instructions about checking in and out and they were very helpful, answering our questions. The flat is huge, perfect as we were with family and friends. Very clean, comfortable beds, kitchen fully equipped. Nothing wrong.

The location was excellent close to the ferry. The accommodation was spacious, clean and the staff were attentive and professional. The scenic onsen was also an experience not to be missed. Dinner options seem to be limited on the island but if you love oysters you’re in for a treat! The bar offered a limited range of tasty snacks and the Miyajima Micro brewery serves excellent deer beer! Very much needed after a hike up Mt Misen.

What a wonderful hotel this is. When we first arrived, we were a bit skeptical as the hotel may look a bit dated, however, it is a wonderful property and one of the best hotels we’ve stayed on. We stayed in a room that had its own bath overlooking the mountains and I could not recommend that option enough. Being able to have a bath first thing in the morning as the sound raises, hearing the birds and looking out at the beautiful mountains is something I’ll remember forever.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very clean and comfortable Japanese style room with private toilet and basin. Easy access to shower and to the very relaxing traditional bathtub.
Excellent Japanese breakfast with great selection of dishes from fresh local ingredients.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly, the food was delicious and really well thought of, the hotel is really nice and traditional with a touch of the 21st century and Miyajima as a place is extraordinary! On top of that, they have a free shuttle service to take you to and from the pier. Thank you to everyone for making our experience so special!

Staff are very kind and our Japanese style room was well appointed. We did not try the breakfast.
My only suggestion for travellers is if you get the sea facing room, it's directly window facing the main street everyone takes to get to the gate. Therefore starting from 8am, it can be loud.

Really great stay in Miyajima! The hotel was clean and quiet, with all the amenities provided, including yukata and sandals. The hot bath was good and the food was amazing and plentiful! The staff were also incredibly helpful in accommodating one of our children's allergies, which was a great relief. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The property is very nice, clean and modern. The living room is a comfortable place to relax.
Please be aware that this is a 3 bedroom property and the other rooms will be occupied by other guests. The kitchen, living room, toilets, and bathroom are all shared with the other guests. The house is lovely but has very thin walls and doors and you can hear all the other guests, even when they are trying to be very quiet. If the other guests leave early in the morning you will very likely be woken...
