We wanted to share an important update from the building management regarding the heating and cooling system. Due to Minnesota law, the building is required to supply heat starting October 1st, even though the weather has been warmer than usual. Unfortunately, because of the way the system works, heating and cooling cannot run at the same time, so the air conditioning has been turned off for the season. Management has set the heat to the lowest possible level to minimize the impact, but we completely understand this may feel uncomfortable during warmer days. In the meantime, they suggest a few ways to help keep your unit cooler: Switch your HVAC unit to “Winter” mode and turn off the fan to prevent warm air from circulating. Open your windows in the evening to bring in cooler air. Close windows and blinds during the day to block direct sunlight and keep heat out.
