Top Millers Dale Hotel Reviews

Old Hall Hotel

Old Hall Hotel

8/10 Good
"We had booked a twin room as we were attending an event at Buxton Opera House which is literally across the road. The room was clean and tidy. We had a bathroom with bath and shower over bath. The hotel is very old and it’s showing signs of that in certain places. However it is being refurbished slowly I understand having been taken over by Champneys who own the Crescent Hotel which is next door. The breakfast was a good choice and tea and coffee were served promptly. We parked right outside which cost £6 for 24 hours. This enabled us to have a little bit of retail therapy after breakfast and before we left. I had read some horrendous reviews before I booked but knowing the area and thought I would make my own mind up about it. Everything was good given the age of the hotel and much better than using the clinical type hotels like Premier Inns. It’s full of character and history concerning Mary Queen of Scotts. Try it and make your own mind up."

Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa

Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa

8/10 Good
"The outside hot pool and bar great...indoor pool chilly...jacuzzy great....treatment rooms rather stark and chilly....my room was ok...the hotel generally is good...but would benefit from more cleaning of door frames and paints...starting to be on the verge of looking tired...."
