We made these reservations well in advance and made sure to confirm that we would have a shower bench for my partner who is a wheelchair user to access. We checked in which was a great experience, the young guy at the front was very helpful and gave us an early check in so I would give more stars for that specifically. We get up to our room and find out my partner can’t actually get into the bathroom as there is a barn door that doesn’t open wide enough for him. We were told all of the rooms have this layout and there is only one accessible room available of the 2 total in the hotel. We were later told by a manager that there are in fact other layouts with regular doors. So basically they plan to upgrade the person who had this studio into our larger suite while we get downgraded without reasonable compensation. It’s too late to make other arrangements so we are stuck in a small, dark studio instead of the suite we had booked and paid for. They are offering us $20 compensation in the form of waiving our parking as we don’t want to miss out on our third party rewards nor spend more time on the phone with hotels.com trying to cancel just to save the minimal amount by booking with the hotel directly. In the end our room was forgotten about and not cleaned which left us chasing them around for what we needed. We will not stay here again which is unfortunate as the location is great.
