Close to the Piazza
This place could be amazing IF they choose to upgrade. The rooms are outdated but very spacious. But I feel that for a hotel so close to the Piazza/ Cathedral/High end shopping, they should consider a remodelling of the rooms to fit the ambiance of the location and to make it more warming for their guests. It's pretty dark and dingy with yellow lighting which doesn't really make me want to stay in the room.
Also I feel like more than one receptionist should be present at the desk. I often had to go upstairs and come back at later times to ask questions. During my check in, i was given my keys and was ignored after the receptionist immediately answered the phone and expected me to go away. I had no info about breakfast or WIFI. I was behind a family who were having a difficult time checking in because apparently their booking was cancelled and not on their behalf. The receptionist was struggling to answer if they had rooms available to put this family in as well as answer why their booking was cancelled.
Along with this, my check out was really early in the morning and I told the receptionist the day before to book me a taxi at around 4:30am so i can catch my train. I go to check out and ask if my taxi has arrived yet and the receptionist said I didn't request one.
Overall this hotel is good for its location I would say. If you're into more the exploring rather than the pampering of a hotel, this is the place for you. Just be patient with the receptionist
