Upon check in our room was not ready. The reception advised that we could have a drink in the bar and he will come and get us when it was ready. We proceeded to the bar and sat down. An attendant approached us and gestured to us without saying anything (as though ~ yea, what do you want) (we were affronted) asked if we could order two teas and she walked off. Twenty minutes later the tea arrived as did the receptionist advising our room was ready ~ the writing was on the wall!!
We asked for a quiet room and one that was away from the lifts and were told that the room is very quiet and lovely. Three times we had to ask for towels and extra pillows as well as confirm a late check out the following day!
The room was NOT quiet. There was street noise, lift noise talking and door banging from next door and you could clearly hear people walking above us ~ potentially reception area/bar/restaurant.
We ate at the Bamboo Bar and during the night came down with violent food poisoning ~ both my husband and I were beyond sick (I don’t need to go into detail) We callee the front desk asking for a doctor. Paramedics arrived confirming food poisoning ~ a doctor arrived and guest relations manager also came in both agreeing its a bug ~ naturally!!
We both were so sick, we couldn’t make our flight and had to stay another two nights. The guest relations manage called me asking if our 2pm checkout was still going to work ~ at this point I became livid ~ are you kidding?? Anyway~no good!

The Lifestyle Team has strived in order to make you feel comfortable and also extended several recovery options to ease your situation; therefore we are sorry to hear that those were not appreciated. With regards to the food poisoning issue, as for the Doctor’s given result this was a viral infection, which means that it is not caused by the food served at the Bamboo Bar.
We would like to clarify also, that we do handle only fresh made products and ingredients every day.
