Honest Lawyer Hotel

"Love this hotel. Fantastic staff,service and housekeeping. Great location.Dog friendly. Rooms are totally good but thankfully reasonably priced and very clean and comfortable A room in the outer area ia fab for accessibility (no stairs,park in front of room) Also green area for dogs."

"great room, very easy to find and staff helpful. In room breakfast great. Room was quiet despite being close to the main road. It was a little bit cold as the heating wasn't on"
Hotel 52 - Stanley

"On arrival the lass on duty was very helpful and helped direct me to where I need to go and even went to find out whether the restaurant was still serving or not. the room was clean, light and airy. Only downside was the 2 chairs one looked tired and worn. The other rocked and felt as if about to collapse. Can't comment on breakfast as didn't partake. On the whole a very good clean short stay hotel. Yes I would stay there again."

"Upon arrival the staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was clean and tidy, not too hot (which is unusual for a hotel room). Breakfast was good - full English. Once again the staff were excellent (wish I had taken names so I could mention them) & friendly. Would we go back? A resounding yes."

"The night we were there there was a gig on and also a 50th birthday celebration so the place was heaving & it was difficult to find somewhere to sit until our dining table became free at 7.45pm"

"We were very impressed with the Hotel. Our room was spotless and dinner and breakfast both excellent. Our daughter was in a separate room and equally impressed. Certainly a first class hostelry"

"It’s worth just staying there for the warmth and inviting personality of Anna who makes sure everything you need is taken care of. Lovely big rooms and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also very good."
Appleby Castle

"It was an amazing experience to be in a real castle we chose a cheaper room so we didn’t have an en-suite but a beautiful bathroom in the corridor instead. The owners were so helpful and friendly and we had a very good quality evening meal with beautiful romantic piano music played by the manager and a history talk too. The owner was a beautiful lady who chatted to us in the bar area. We’d like to go again. Breakfast was good."
