"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"We stayed for one night overnight at the hotel and can honestly say it was just basic. The condition of the room was not great, as we soon discovered the lightning did not work properly and the kettle in the room was dysfunctional (reported) The bathroom was clearly in need of renovation as the flooring which was used to cover the sides of the bathtub was peeling away. The window blinds had portions missing and the curtains were hanging off. We also noted a strong draught from the window but...

"Brilliant stay, the staff and the owner were great very homey and warm atmosphere. Very kindly made me an early breakfast each day as I had to be up for a training course. Rooms were clean tidy and brilliantly sound proofed as I heard nothing from the bar downstairs. Great little place would highly recommend."

"Lovely studio, but 2 things to address: 1 - the shower is not powerful when the heat is turned up. 2- The bed is 2 singles joined together, it's on wheels, any movement and the bed just slides across the floor, maybe change the wheels to locking wheels, simple fix But I'd definitely stay again, lovely little studio."
