"I got the room with the amazing view of the mountains, lakes and ponds! It was a hard room floor. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean Temperature was perfect to sleep throughout the night. My only recommendation is changing if the carpet in the passage and some floors and keeping the patios clean."

"Excellent hotel in Bellagio. Great value. We booked a room with view of the lake. It was so beautiful. The room seem to have gone some remodeling. It looked so much better than the pictures on Hotel.com. The AC was very good. It was so hot outside in the beginning of August. We look forward to going back to our room at the end of the day. The ferry gates were also nearby. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Cannot beat this hotel in terms of location in Menaggio. It’s directly on the lake so has beautiful views from the lakeside rooms. It’s 3 minutes walk from the ferry and one minute from the main piazza in town (small but charming). It’s a great basic hotel option, nothing fancy but clean and the pool was a nice addition especially during the very hot summer days. It has the potential to be even better given the location but lacks a few big important things such as air conditioning in the hot summer days. (They did get us a fan for the room which helped a bit). Also a few added room/bathroom amenities could definitely take it up a notch (the shower is pretty small) . The restaurant on site is not part of the hotel ownership so things like bringing drinks/food to the pool loungers is not permitted but you can sit at nearby tables just off the pool area. There’s also no room service. But all that said, for the price and location, this is a very good basic hotel option in the area. Staff was helpful. Overall a good experience!"

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

"We stayed here for four nights —-booked two rooms for our family. Some of the highlights include: 1) great, fantastic location which is short walking distance to ferry, shops and restaurants. 2) we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and beautiful swimming pool every day. 3) super comfortable beds and well air conditioned rooms. 4) staffs at the breakfast, pool and concierge are super attentive, warm and helpful. The concierge booked a private boat tour for us and provided useful advices on day trips and ferry schedules. The only and the biggest low light was that the casual restaurant (La Goletta) was super disappointing. The food was boring, plain, and poorly prepared . The restaurant waiters were cold and stern. Given the price, the restaurant felt way below our expectation. Recommend to stay at the hotel but eat elsewhere."

"Pleasant staff and the hotel and rooms felt quite traditional and nice. Great and large balcony for our ground floor room with incredible views. Nice little pool and great buffet breakfast. If you are coming from the ferry, access is 20 mins walk via steep cobbled streets which was challenging and we (I) had to carry our suitcases as the wheels were in danger of coming off! Decent parking by the look of it but consider a cab if you’re on foot. Over all a very pleasant stay."
