Very nice traditional hotel, has a lot of character. The rooms are a tad dated but fit the atmosphere of the building.
Really comfy beds and we had memory foam pillows on a big bed.
It is also a restaurant but we didn't eat here, but it smells very nice.
Would very much stay here again for the price

From the moment of our arrival we where made to feel very much at home. All rooms are exquisitely furnished and extremely comfortable. The main sitting room has beautiful views over Rutland waters. I believe we most probably had the best meal we ever had in England. The chef deserves at least three Michelin stars. Dominique chose some excellent wines for us, he certainly knows his job. Thank you. After a wonderful evening we retired to our beautiful room and had a relaxing sleep in the best bed...

Was in Leicester for my daughter’s graduation, the bed was very comfortable, my wife snored happily all night. The breakfast was great, it set us up for the day. If I need to stay in Leicester again, I’ll be staying here.

The 1pm check in and 11am check out was a bonus. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower was excellent. The food was incredible and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. All staff members were friendly and there was ample parking. We will definitely return!

Brilliant staff.
Began with great welcome by receptionist and then continued with excellent service and attitude from all staff members.
Such a rare find following COVID period which seems to have given the hotel chains and excuse to provide appalling service

Staff were fantastic. Room was clean. Only problem we would say is the temperature of the shower. It was warm and that was as hot as we could get it. Other than that we really enjoyed the bar and restaurant. The Sunday Roast was SUPERB.

What a lovely hotel! The staff were very friendly and cheerful. The room we stayed in (31) had a four poster bed and very oldie worldie, which fitted in well with the hotel. The bathroom was very modern and clean. We only had breakfast there but what we had was very nice. It was a pleasure to spend there. Would definitely stay again
