Beautiful holiday getaway

Everything we had hoped for...and much more!
We arrived quite late in the day, so had the immense pleasure of waking up to an indescribable view-the mist rising over the mountain was indescribable. The cabin is cozy and the lay out of the rooms makes great use of the windows and the porch. The wonderful swing was my favorite feature. ( I would only suggest that the owner consider a shade of the porch, just on the left side for mid-afternoon, because of the afternoon sun, but not a big deal. The weather while we were there was perfect and warm, but just a little too direct for me in the mid afternoon if I was sitting on the swing. The cabin is cozy and well-planned to take advantage of every part of it, with a nice open kitchen/living area. The bedrooms are small but very comfy. The location of the cabin is within close proximity of many attractions, especially if a person enjoys hiking. We loved our trips to Blanchard Springs, Devil's Knob, Mountain View, and many others. The nearby restaurant "The Spah Bar and Grill" is in Mountain View, across from Walmart of all things, and we enjoyed great food and wonderful service there. Also liked La Pueblito (sp?) (in Blanchard Springs . The caretakers, Debbie and Terry were friendly and very responsive to our requests. Also, Terry is native to the area and was a treasure trove of local history and provided a wealth of information that can only come from personal experience and his obvious love of the the area. Everything we had hoped for & more!

Rural mountain experience
Perfect place for a relaxing escape. The cabin was really pretty clean. Was able to sleep and cook here with peace of mind. It is in a rural area, and if you've ever lived in a rural area you know that there are certain things like small bugs that unavoidably come with that. Cabin has an amazing view perfect for sitting in a rocking chair and relaxing. Wish I would have had more time to explore the property. Had no trouble getting there with Google maps. Would recommend!

Fall trip
The spider webs were alil much. Wish we could have enjoyed the fresh air and open the windows- spiders and flies were too present. Perhaps a screen door would have been nice. Wish the trees were blooming with Fall colors! Overall the VRBO was good; relaxing and peaceful. We’d return.

This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I spent most of my time on the porch swing looking at the beautiful view! There are so many things to do close by, but none rival just relaxing at the cabin. Will definitely go back if we get a chance.

It is a nice cabin with a great view. The roads to it are very narrow so take your time driving there (and the last quarter mile is a dirt road). Quiet secluded space.

Lovely but lost!
Only problem was directions- both the owner's and GPS were wrong and I got lost. Plus cell reception can be bad there. Be sure after you turn onto Mt Olive, look for a turn onto RS HILLS, which is v near the red VFD. Next, continue up that hill onto the Cabin's address road.

Perfect cabin ontop of a mountain!
My friend and I came up for a weekend getaway and upon arrival, I was in ahh at the scenery of the mountains looking off the back porch. Most of my time was spent there in the swing. Listening to the whip a whills, watching the hummingbirds, and dragon flies. The White River is just down below. Michael, the property owner, was readily available for any questions I had. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. So if your looking for a nice, peaceful little cabin, look no further, this is the place!

The only thing I can complain about is the windows in the front of the Cabin need blinds or darker heavier curtains! The only reason I say this is when we arrived the heat index was 110 degrees. by the time we got our things unloaded it got up to 79 degrees at 5:30pm so it took it till after 11pm to cool down to 74 degrees. the next day we cover the living room windows with throws and when we came back that evening it was nice and cold. So just some blinds would cut the heat so much thas my only complaint. WE LOVED THE AREA SO MUCH IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!

Great beds, dirt roads
The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. The beds were also excellent. It was advertised as a cabin on the mountain and it is definitely rural with great views. It is three miles up a dirt road. I would not bring a low profile car but it’s fine in a truck. Also, the owner indicated there was fishing access within a mile and a half of the cabin. We went down multiple, rough dirt roads and could never find it per his instructions. It does not say fishing cabin on the listing and there is in fact no fishing nearby as you might think since it is close to the river. Just be aware of that if you are looking to fish.

Additionally, we have compiled a binder in the cabin listing several nearby creeks that can be used for fishing. God's Majesty!
The Cabin was more "off" the road than expected and it was rathery nervy to get to the first time. However, worth the privacy and VIEW!!! The PORCH is so inviting and comfortable! Living space was was. The table chairs are hard to move, they are so heavy, yet beautiful! We found placing pillows in them made them more comfortable for our card games playing! We hope to visit again during warmer months!

This cabin is surrounded by rolling hills, majestic trees and the White River is not far away. Mornings the fog over the river added a blanket of white to the fading colors of Fall. It is so quiet you can hear the leaves fall from the trees. Moonless, cloudless skies provide incredible star gazing.

Incredible View!
We loved our week there. The sunrises and sunsets were incredible. Beds were comfy; great sheets, pillows and blankets. Everything was nice and clean. The fire pit was fun to utilize and the porch was wonderful to hang out on. Great cabin!

This cabin is great . The beds and bedding are clean and of good quilty. I spent most of my time on the porch swing . Bring charcoal for the out door grill . The gas grill is not useabl .
