"The location cannot be beat—lakefront, quiet neighborhood with sandy entrance to the lake. Our kids and dog loved the easy lake access, and we rebted and launched kayaks from the Acquatic Center. The hot tub and sun porch were amazing relaxation areas, and the whole family enjoyed playing Wii sports. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was a great gas grill outside. We made most meals at home and enjoyed a bonfire each night. Weather was perfect and we opened windows and kept fans running. I can see it being hot later in summer, but it was perfect for Memorial Day weekend. Exactly as advertised and we would definitely stay again."

"What a wonderful, relaxing, tranquil retreat. David and Pearle were such gracious hosts, providing so many amenities for our comfort/enjoyment. Morning coffee on the dock and evenings in the hot tub with beautiful lake views were a great way to start and end each day. We enjoyed roasted marshmallows and s'mores by the campfire. The information binder on the counter was so helpful, especially for giving us ideas of places to visit in the area, such as Swallow Falls State Park, Deep Creek State Park, and Fallingwater. Owl's Nest was the perfect place for us to rest, relax, and recharge. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!"

"As usual, the house was ready for my sister and I arrival. Its a smaller house but has everything we need and is close to everything. Definately will be back again."

"The location of this house was great. The listing specifically says indoor pool, but because this is a seasonal location, the pool was not open during our stay. The house had crumbs all over the living room and couch. Dirty dishes, pots and pans were placed into the cabinets. The lighting in the whole house was very dim. One of the two showers leaked so much we could not use it during our stay. The listing has since been fixed but it did list two bunkbeds in the loft so one of my sons had to sleep on the floor. I contacted the property manager daily and never received an appropriate response for all of the issues. The smoke detectors were outdated and were unplugged. I would not recommend staying at this location unless the property manager has a better response time."
