Since the arrival, you feel that everyone is "ohana". They have a superb friendly and caring staff that goes beyond great service. Also, the location is very convenient: the beach is across the street and it is a walking distance from many places.
My husband and I stayed here from January 9th to the 17th for our honeymoon. I had booked a partial ocean view room, and we received an almost full ocean view! All the staff showed us the "aloha" spirit and were extremely helpful in helping us plan our trip.
good experience, hap hazard in getting around (several different levels which takes a few elevators),very dated hotel. Pool are congested, not enough lounge chairs with cushions.Pool staff not policing the saved lounge chairs in pool area (I think 30 to 60 minute limit of being saved).
The location was great the beach is a perfect mix not to busy the staff is great but the room was getting old I’ve stayed in cleaner hotels in eastern Oregon the rooms need to be re done Also management needs to organize pool side food service so I don’t wait four hours
I have to keep reminding myself that this is Maui. $200 a night for parking lot view is normal. If you’re expecting anything fancy, you won’t find it. But it’s clean and simple.

Just seven miles down the coast from Kapalua, Kaanapali Beach is action packed. Restaurants and bars line the beach, and Whalers Village shopping complex backs on to the sands. This is a popular spot for wind surfers and paddle boarders, and the lava outcrops make great conditions for snorkelling.
For an excellent way to end any day before returning to your beach hotel on Maui Island, head to a beach to watch the sunset. On Sundays, Little Beach, normally a nudist beach, has a sunset party with fire walkers and fire twirlers, which is quite the spectacle.
