It has great views of Matsushima Bay and Fukuurajima Island, excellent food, and clean comfortable rooms. It is a perfect location, with magnificent views of the bay from my room and from the public and private onsen. Breakfast was really good. All staff were very kind and friendly, and special thanks to the man on reception (so sorry I didn’t get your name) who spoke English really well. It is a bit of a walk from the railway stations (its about midway between Matsushima and Matsushimakaigan - about 18 minutes walk from each) but the walk from Matsushimakigan is prettier. I specifically came for the room with a water view, and I loved every bit of it.The views were so calming, and I was able to watch the sunrise from my room.The staff were incredible; some of them spoke English and those that didn't tried so hard to accommodate me. I really appreciated them. There is also a private onsen you can book which is absolutely worth it. A standout moment was when the staff made a breakfast modification for me that I thought couldn't be made-- it was a wonderful surprise and made my stay all the better. So peaceful. So worth it.
