Better to have a car, though we used public transport (bus), frequency was low but it was timely and saved us from driving on winding roads. Renting a car would have increased our mobility. View from the hotel was lovely, it was peaceful to sit in the terrace and watch sunset. Pool was excellent, kids loved it, it was busy and sun loungers were in high demand. Restaurant on the premises was great, better quality than some restaurants in the town and at better price and no cover charges. Staff was friendly and provided guidance wherever needed. Book tours from the hotel, more convenient at they offer pick and drop from the hotel. "

"Grand Hermitage Hotel was the definitely the perfect choice for us. The hotel decor is a bit dated as you can clearly see in the photos but the rooms are kept pretty clean and the view from the room was outstanding. I would choose this hotel for that view over and over again. Considering this view, it is a bit of a distance from Sorrento so you have to plan for that bit of travel time and cost in your planning.
