One night stay when diverted to La Guardia

Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: Has a slightly run down air to it, e.g. carpets in hallway. Air conditioner a bit noisy.
Location: Didn't stay long enough to know.
Booked at very short notice when our flight to Philadelphia was cancelled due to storms and we were re-booked to La Guardia. Arrived late and the reception person was very friendly and helpful. Everything went smoothly. Wish they had told us about the shuttle from the outset though when we inquired about booking a taxi for the morning, rather than 5 minutes before it left (and we missed it).

No pool in this hotel when we ask for a taxi Staff called for private van he has no meter He charge us $50 USA for 7 km I would Not recommend for any one to this hotel.

Thank you for your review, it’s with great regret to learn that you didn't enjoy your stay with us as we always do our best to help our guest and our goal is to provide them with great service. We are not sure if you were misinformed before arriving to the hotel, but our property doesn't have any pool, instead we have a fitness center which is available to our guests 24 hours. As for the car services, unfortunately, in NYC you can stop yellow taxi (with meters) on the streeet. With the understanding that most of our guest are from out of town, we usually suggest our taxi service, this help us handle any issue that guests might have during their trip to/from the hotel. It can be helpful as well if the guest was to forget something in the car after being drop off, we can contact the driver to bring it back to them. As far as the price goes, the flat rate has it advantage since NYC traffic can be so unpredictable, with the flat rate, the guest knows exactly what to expect. Taking a taxi with meter the price to the airport can be anywhere from $40 to over $70 depending on the traffic.

Cons: customer service
I spent 20 mins on trying to get the clerk to answer the phone while the taxi drove in circles lookign for the hotel.

Reliable solid quality from Holiday Inn Express; just what I expected and a reasonable price.

Close to the Haighway

Although the hotel is close to the highway, parking is a problem. The room is basic, expensive for whats offered.
